Our Hours
Hours and School Year
- We are open Monday through Friday 7:00AM to
5:30PM
- We are open all year round with the exceptions of the
school closings located on the calendar on the right
- All children must be picked up no
later than 11:45am (Half Day) or 5:30pm (Full Day). Half Day is up to 5 hours per
day; Full Day is up to 9.5 hours per day (8 hours is recommended).
- Regular School Year:
September through May
- Summer School:
June, July and August
Bad Weather
American Montessori follows the same school closing policy as
ISD 191 for Burnsville location & ISD 196 for Apple Valley
location due to bad weather. To see if your location is closed
you can check via these methods…
- Our Website

home page of our website. If you click under school calendar, you can click
links to the sites below to sign up for email alerts
- We also leave a
message on the main phone number stating the school is closed, that number
is 952-736-1004.
- KSTP – TV and
http://www.kstp.com – will be listed on both…KSTP.com allows you sign up
for Emailed school alerts, where you can select American Montessori and
receive an email alert if we close or if we are closing early.
- KARE 11 – TV and
http://www.kare11.com – will be listed on both…KARE11.com allows you
sign up for Emailed school alerts, where you can select American Montessori
and receive an email alert if we close or if we are closing early.
- WCCO – Radio, TV
or
http://www.wcco.com – will be listed in all 3, WCCO.com has an alert
system, but it sends a complete list of all the schools…not as detailed as
above.
