Fun Developmental Opportunities for Preschool Kids

At American Montessori our 3yr to 6yr Montessori program is designed for children 2 1/2 to 6 plus years old. It's taught by our AMI Montessori teacher, Miss Sandy. She has been teaching this class for over 30 years. Miss Sandy and her team will help with the total development of your child — emotionally, physically, intellectually, and socially. The program helps children master their interest in preliminary, practical life, sensorial, math, reading, and writing before they graduate.

Over the last 25 years, American Montessori has had many students graduate. These children are excelling in math, writing, reading, and spelling bees. Many of them are in accelerated programs, gifted and talented programs, and STEM programs in public and private schools.

Our program includes kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade students working together in a mixed environment. Due to the limited capacity of 15 students, early enrollment for these months is recommended.

We provide excellent programs for toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-K students during the summer as well.

Gymnastics

We offer a gymnastics program during the summer. We bring in an instructor from a local gymnastics school to teach the fundamentals. This helps the children learn balance and coordination.

Yoga

Our yoga program is offered during the winter months. We have an instructor come in and teach the beginning steps of yoga and meditation. This helps the children to focus and improves their concentration.

Dance

Dance is taught daily in our Burnsville location and once a week in our Apple Valley location. This teaches the children to be more coordinated and helps them improve their focus and concentration.

Zumba

Once a week, our Zumba dance instructor comes to Burnsville and Apple Valley and does a high-energy 45-minute Zumba class with the children. This teaches them balance and rhythmic moves and teaches them that exercise can be fun.
